Maddalena Ranch - Sierra Valley, California
When ranchers like Cindy Maddalena sign conservation easements they are protecting more than beautiful vistas, they are...

This sand helps take care of the plants, which in return help take care of the soil. And we use the cattle behind us to help manage all of that.
Gracie Creek Ranch is located in the Nebraska Sandhills, the largest sand dune formation in the Western Hemisphere. Home to over 670 native plant species, the nutrient-rich dunes are both beautiful and fragile. Gracie Creek carefully manages their cowherd to take care of the biodiverse plant life that protects these dunes.
